毛泽东在长征路上的四次落泪
《强渡乌江》
一代伟人毛泽东意志如钢，平时不轻易流泪。即便爱子毛岸英在朝鲜战场光荣牺牲，他也未在公开场合落泪。然而，在那漫漫长征路上，毛泽东却数次流下了滚滚热泪。
乌江南岸，毛泽东挥泪送衣给“干人”
1934年年底湘江血战后，中央红军主力损失过半。在危急时刻，毛泽东力挽狂澜，指挥主力红军避实击虚，向敌人兵力空虚的贵州开进。
红军进入贵州后发现这里的穷人分外贫困，被形象地称为“干人”，因为他们的血汗已被各种苛捐杂税榨得一干二净。所以，红军所到之处，到处都是向他们求乞的“干人”。这些“干人”一个个衣不蔽体，骨瘦如柴。此情此景震撼了每个红军指战员，许多人不禁掉下了眼泪。尽管湘江之战后，红军自身也很困难，但他们都倾其所有，解囊相助。
在红军路过乌江南岸的剑河县时，人们看到，一位60多岁的老婆婆和她的小孙子寒冬里仍穿着补丁摞补丁的单衣，奄奄一息地倒在路旁。行进中的红军指战员们立即围了上来。此时，毛泽东从后面走来，见前面围着很多人，急忙问发生了什么事。一位红军战士答道：“老妈妈说，她家一年收的粮食全被地主抢光了，她儿子前几天也被国民党抓了壮丁。她没有活路，只好和小孙子四处讨吃的，因为今天太冷，从早晨到现在还没有吃一点东西，又冻又饿，浑身没有力气，就跌倒在这里了。”听到这儿，毛泽东已是热泪盈眶。
他当即脱下身上的毛线衣，又叫警卫员拿了两袋干粮，连同毛线衣一起送给老婆婆。他蹲下来，亲切地对这位绝望的老人说：“老人家，你记住，我们是红军，红军是‘干人’的队伍。”穿上毛线衣的老人感动地直点头，嘴里连声念叨：“红军，红军……”领着她的小孙子，颤巍巍地走了。
望着老人远去的背影，毛泽东陷入了久久的沉思。他为中国的命运担忧，为中国革命的命运担忧，为红军的命运担忧。在不久后召开的遵义会议上，中国革命开始扭转乾坤。
云贵交界，毛泽东险失妻子贺子珍
遵义会议后，毛泽东不负众望，率红军成功地四渡赤水，又挥师南渡乌江，威逼贵阳，日夜兼程，很快来到滇黔交界的盘县境内，再往前走，就将进入云南省境。只要北渡金沙，红军就可以突破敌军的重重包围、扭转被动局面了。就在这时，一场意想不到的灾祸降临到他的妻子贺子珍头上。
1935年4月23日，红军总卫生部休养连来到盘县一个普通的小山村。中午时分，天空响起了嗡嗡的飞机声，警卫员吴吉清急忙让贺子珍隐蔽，但她不顾个人安危，组织安排伤员隐蔽。就在这时，敌机投下了炸弹。贺子珍头上、胸脯上、臂膀上，到处鲜血涔涔，倒在血泊中。经医生检查，发现她身上17处负伤。贺子珍苏醒后，对大家说：“我负伤的事请你们暂时不要告诉主席。他在前线指挥作战很忙，不要再分他的心。请你们把我寄放在附近老百姓家里，将来革命胜利了再见面……”说完，又昏迷过去。
目睹此状，大家十分难过，特别是毛泽东专门派来负责照顾贺子珍的警卫员吴吉清焦急地问：“怎么办？怎么办？”战友们一面急忙把血泊中的贺子珍抬上担架，一面急派骑兵飞奔红军总部，通知毛泽东。
不一会，村外传来急促的马蹄声。身披大衣、一脸风尘的毛泽东一跳下马，就快步走到贺子珍的身旁，弯下腰仔细端详着不省人事的妻子，拉着她的手连呼：“子珍！子珍！……”想着爱妻在革命中经历的种种磨难，这位叱咤风云的红军统帅不禁轻轻捧着贺子珍的头，抽泣起来。
由于军情紧迫，为了尽快赶回总部，决策西进云南、北渡金沙的大计，他被迫告别了昏迷不醒的妻子，握别送行的战友，赶往总部。不久，数万人的红军即在毛泽东的英明指挥下巧渡金沙江，将数十万人的敌军远远地抛在了金沙江以南，彻底粉碎了蒋介石要将红军消灭在云贵高原的美梦。
二郎山旁，毛泽东恸哭警卫班长胡昌保
毛泽东在指挥红军飞渡天险大渡河后，于1935年6月上旬的一天，亲率军委纵队翻越二郎山附近的甘竹山。他和警卫员一起艰难地往山上爬。途中，毛泽东不时地讲故事和笑话，逗得大家直笑。走到半山腰的开阔地时，他说：“歇歇脚吧！”说着，就在一块光溜溜的石头上坐了下来，大家也围着他坐下。
正在说笑之际，忽然，毛泽东的警卫班长胡昌保摆手示意大家停下。这时，大家才听清头顶上响起了嗡嗡的马达声，抬头一看，从东南方向来了几架敌机。毛泽东急忙让大家隐蔽，可来不及了。人们还没来得及跑开，敌机便俯冲下来，扔下了几颗炸弹。呼啸的炸弹成群落地开花，爆炸声震耳欲聋。其中一颗炸弹落在离毛泽东很近的地方。眼疾手快的警卫班长胡昌保大喊一声“主席——”，随即猛地向毛泽东扑去，趁势将他推向一边。瞬间，毛泽东刚刚休息的地方腾起了烟柱。大家不顾一切地围了过来，只见胡昌保双眼紧闭，浑身是血，倒在地上。所幸毛泽东没有受伤。
满身尘土的毛泽东蹲在胡昌保身旁，一边用手抚摸着他的头，一边轻轻地呼唤着：“小胡，昌保同志……”在毛泽东的呼唤下，胡昌保缓缓地苏醒过来。他微微睁开双眼，看到毛主席就在身边，忙问：“主席，您受伤没有？”“没有，小胡，我很好！”胡昌保脸上露出放心的笑容。毛泽东连忙喊卫生员给胡昌保包扎。
“主席，我不行了……还是留给……”“昌保，你会好的！”毛泽东哽咽地说。
胡昌保躺在毛泽东的怀里，深情地望着他，说：“主席……我不行了。我没有什么牵挂的，只是不能再给您当警卫员了。您要……多保重！我不能跟着您……到达目的地了！”他双眼充满了泪水，滴滴滚落下来。停了好一会，他又转过头，望着围在身旁的警卫班战友们，缓缓而吃力地说：“同志们，不要难过！你们替我保卫好主席吧！”
“班长，请放心！我们一定尽职尽责，保卫好主席！”
胡昌保看着大家，然后慢慢地闭上眼睛，头一歪，倒在毛泽东怀中。“班长！班长！”任凭战友们怎样喊叫，却再也喊不醒他了。
毛泽东把胡昌保轻轻放下，叫人取来一条毛毯，盖在烈士遗体上。面对为保护自己而牺牲的战士，他再也抑制不住悲痛，泪水从宽阔的脸颊上不停地流下来。良久，毛泽东缓缓站起来，低下头，默默地站在烈士身旁，深情致哀。随后，他又吩咐战士们：“把他好好掩埋起来，在坟前立个牌子，为革命牺牲的同志，我们将永远怀念他们！”
大家遵照毛主席吩咐，噙着泪水，一锹锹地用土把胡昌保安葬在他牺牲的地方。接着，毛泽东又从战士手中接过锹，亲自为胡昌保的坟培土。当毛泽东告别长征路上这座亲手建立的新坟继续前进时，他还不时回头望望，怎么也舍不得这位从江西苏区就跟随着他的警卫班长。
陕北吴起镇，毛泽东痛哭红军子弟兵
1935年10月，中央红军率先到达陕北吴起镇。为迎接新的伟大斗争，中共中央召开了一次团以上干部会议。毛泽东代表党中央在会上作了重要讲话。毛泽东走上讲台，首先看了看在座的红军将士们。目睹眼前这些衣衫褴褛、憔悴疲惫、面黄肌瘦的红军干部，他又一次情不自禁地流出了悲喜交加的泪水。他含泪说道：“我们虽然丢掉了中央根据地，遭到了失败，但到了陕北，毕竟还是胜利了！我们的队伍少了许多人，损失是惨重的。但走过来的同志经过千锤百炼，都是革命的种子！我们的事业是伟大的，前途是光明的。现在我们要从头做起！……”
毛泽东是意志如钢的革命伟人，平时轻易不流泪，当着如此众多的人流泪还从来没有过，而这次，这么多红军干部看到了毛泽东这么伤心地流泪。
陕北的秋天干冷干冷的，阵阵秋风卷起的黄沙扑面而来。身着单衣的红军干部们不觉有些发颤，但毛泽东的话语却如温暖的春风抹去了红军干部们脸上的愁云，似甘露滋润了大家久旱的心田。时隔一年之后，三大主力红军胜利会师。中国的革命进程又迈入了一个新的阶段。
